💯 LESSON
The best people I’ve worked with all have this thing in common (and how you can cultivate it yourself)
I’ve been building a tiny boostrapped team for the past 2 years. In that time I’ve made every hiring mistake in the book. Thankfully I now know what good and bad looks like.
One mindset that all the best people I’ve worked with have is high agency.
What’s that?
High Agency is the mindset of actively shaping circumstances to achieve one's goals, rather than being hindered by imperfect conditions.

AKA: you get stuff done without waiting / depending on other factors.
You either push through bad conditions or reverse the bad conditions to achieve goals. Bulldozer energy.
Why I think you should care 🤔??
Because we’re about to see a quantum leap in the way work gets done.
The highest agency people I know already leverage tech to augment the way they work. With the AI workforce arriving, I believe they will be using it to do all the work. As in, assembling their own completely virtual teams.
So I think “high agency” will mean something quite different, soon.
This is why we’re making a push to teach the how behind this new frontier of work inside all our curriculums. Starting on Thursday!
