If you want to see under the hood and shape what’s next for the 100 school, this is your stop.
👀 First some context…
It’s Max here 👋. If you didn’t know, I run 💯 School. Growing up my tech skills were pretty bad. That’s until I started asking the “dumb” questions I was always too scared to ask - and ever since, I’ve been turning the answers into free challenges for anyone to learn tech skills (in less scary, more fun ways). Hence #100daysofnocode & #100daysofai.
I’m also a solo-founder. And get told a lot…”Max! You should get some extra help calling the shots”.
That’s where you come in.
We started as a Twitter hashtag. No curriculum, team or mission. Just me in lockdown trying to learn a new skill. Community was the only thing that kept me going. And I want to continue building this thing with you, the community - because without it, well…it wouldn’t be a thing; only an idea.
That’s why I’m going to use this little corner of the digest to share lessons and updates/questions with you every week. Like a board meeting but way more casual 😅. Thankyou 🙏

Both our flagship challenges started on Monday. It’s been incredible to see everyones progress in just 1 week!! Whilst I haven’t been able to reply to all the updates across X, Linkedin and elsewhere, just know I’m watching and getting inspired by you all everyday 🙏
📕 LESSON
Every learning “platform” has tradeoffs. You just have to pick which ones you’re happy to take.
Most courses are put inside Udemy, Kajabi or other “learning” platforms. With the idea that students search for, login into and access all content in one place. It’s a “neat” solution. But not for learning. It’s part of the reason online courses only have an average 7-13% completion rate. So much great content isn’t impacting people. Which is ashame, because that’s the point, right? Content is just information if it’s not served up in a way that you want to learn from it.
That’s why our learning platform isn’t a platform at all. It’s just daily emails. A channel that let’s us meet students where they’re mostly at. But this week we’ve experienced the tradeoff in this approach. Some emails haven’t arrived on time or at all (we’re investigating!) - and it’s the worst feeling in the world! Anything that stops us from impacting more people is a problem.
Yet, we’re not going to compromise on our approach because it’s the difference between sharing information and impacting peoples’ lives (like 👇). We just need to find a better solution for dealing with the tradeoffs. For those still having issues, please email [email protected] 😊
Your weekly advent calendar 🎁
Every week we share a little mystery opportunity that we think you’ll like - it can be everything from a tool discount, merch drop, event, freelance gig, new project or challenge we’re launching - we try to keep you on your toes. A weekly advent calendar but just not in December. Drum roll please 🥁….
Until next time (drop me a reply if you have any Q’s 😊),
Max 👋
